Cork underlay is generally used under a hard surface such as stone, laminate, wooden floors, vinyl, linoleum or floating floors to increase acoustics in a room. But it also works great as a thermal barrier and added padding for these flooring materials too. So you gain even better benefits
Our cork wall tiles offer the same benefits found in our cork flooring lines. Create a relaxing retreat with minimal fuss. On walls our 7mm cork tiles will act as an acoustic barrier and can mute sound by up to 14 decibels. Noise from outside and generated in other rooms will disturb you less, granting peace and tranquility. Falling against a cork wall won’t bring serious injuries as its elastic surface cushions similar to foam. Cork is hypoallergenic and will not actively attract or bond to dust particles. Resistant to liquid, cork will not promote the growth of mold or mildew and repels boring insects. On the wall, cork will also double as a thermal barrier, preventing the transference of heat or cold from room to room.
As a floating cork floor, this square-edged design will install seamlessly. You get a floor that appears as one large finished unit, minus the caulking breaks found with ceramic tiles. Equipped with the Uniclic flooring system, a patented tongue and grove application, our 12”W x 36”L board planks will click together with minimal fuss. Without the requirement of glue, tools and other instruments are left to a minimum. Top that off with minimal floor preparation and you save on time as well as labor expenses. With our 12mm floating cork floor you’ve got a floor that can be installed in hours instead of days. No separate underlayment is required since our planks have an integrated low-density sound absorbing cork underlayment.
